Noorjahan Restaurant Reviews and Ratings - Taj Ganj, Agra

Loved it!

Rated 4.5 by Ashish Kumar

Arguably one of the most underrated fine dinig restaurants in agra. The food of this place is just Killer. So delicious and flavourful. Non vegetarian food is a must try. Mutton Biryani, Mashroom curry, Mutton Roghan Josh are way to delicious

I like the food and silent ambience of Amar Hotel's restaurant. Prices are also very reasonable. Service was prompt and decent. Overall place is good to dine in with family.....

An above average place to dine at ! Noorjahan restaurant located within Hotel Amar on the posh Fatehabad road among all the five star hotels is a cost effective place. Frequented mostly by tourists and a majority of them foreigners, the good part being they haven't changed the taste of Indian dishes to suit the foreign palate. As I was browsing through the menu I got excited by the offering of nawaabi thali at 450 bucks AI I instantly decided that I want to go for this. Within a span of 10 minutes we were served the thali and I can guarantee it was one humongous thali which can easily satiate two persons if you order extra breads. Thali consisted of Paneer butter masala, Mutton rogan josh, chicken masala, daal makhani, lachha parantha, butter naan, rice pulao, boondi raita, salad and papad. Overall the thaali was quite appetizing and the best constituents turned out to be the mutton rogan josh and Paneer butter masala. Though I don't intend to say the rest were not good but the aforementioned definitely stood out with the chicken masala rather being quite ordinary. Ambience was basic comparable to any 3 star hotel and we visited around 4pm so there was hardly any crowd and we were served pretty quickly. Overall a value for Money meal though I thought a nawaabi thali warranted a glimpse of nawaabi Biryani and an authentic dessert in the thali. I was visiting with a friend who wanted to have some quick beer fix, this order was more of an afterthought but something I definitely won't regret and the thali definitely surprised me :)
